Norfolk Southern Student Organization Hub in Driftmier Engineering Center at University of Georgia

The University of Georgia College of Engineering celebrated the naming of the Norfolk Southern Student Organization Hub within Driftmier Engineering Center on Monday, October 26. Made possible by a $100,000 contribution from Norfolk Southern, the space gives engineering student club leaders a dedicated place to connect, collaborate, and develop skills for their future careers.

Creating space for future engineers

Located in UGA's Driftmier Engineering Center, the Norfolk Southern Student Organization Hub is designed to bring engineering students together and strengthen the college's student community.

The space supports 23 student organizations, including:

National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE)
Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)
Society of Asian Scientists and Engineers (SASE)
Society of Women Engineers (SWE)

Through student-led activities, collaboration, and professional development, these organizations will help students build connections and gain experience beyond the classroom.
