About María Korol

María Korol's artistic practice is firmly rooted in drawing and painting, including explorations in three-dimensional formats and interdisciplinary collaborations. She is interested in storytelling and imagination, history and its distortions, and humor. She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1980 and moved to the United States in 2004. Korol has shown her paintings and drawings nationally and internationally in places like Bogotá, New York, Berlin, and Atlanta, among other cities.
