We are expanding our Appointment System to our Livernois (Detroit, MI) Intermodal facility. Ahead of the go-live date, information sessions will be held to ensure all customers and drayage partners are familiar with the application and any changes to terminal operations. Similar to our operations at Landers (Chicago, IL), Rossville (Memphis TN), Austell (Atlanta, GA), and Appliance Park & Buechel (Louisville, KY), the appointment system will solely be for international traffic at Livernois. The Appointment System will support our previous operational transition to a ground-stack operation at Livernois for International shipments and will streamline access to the facility for pick-ups and drop-offs while ensuring a consistent experience for our partner drivers at the terminals. Please see additional information below.
WHO: Anyone interested is encouraged to participate in any of the informational sessions. We encourage company management, driver managers, and driver leaders to attend at least one session.
WHAT: These Town Halls will begin with a detailed presentation by Norfolk Southern Terminal Operations personnel regarding the upcoming changes, requirements, and timeline.
WHEN & WHERE: There will be two presentation slots to help accommodate different schedules.
