Important Holiday Operating Plan Information

We extend our warmest wishes for a joyful and peaceful holiday season, and we would like to bring to your attention our holiday operating plan to ensure a smooth and efficient experience during this period: 

• Norfolk Southern will begin curtailing rail operations the afternoon of Sunday, December 24, 2023 in observance of the Christmas holiday – with operations idled from 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 24, 2023 – and resuming normal service at 8:00 p.m. on Monday, Dec 25, 2023.

  • This includes Local Service and adjusted Automotive and Intermodal terminal operations hours.
  • Customers with service concerns should contact Norfolk Southern Customer Logistics at customerlogistics@nscorp.com.

• In the coming days, Norfolk Southern Intermodal will provide additional details to their respective customers about Christmas and New Years Eve/Day operating plans.
