We are very excited to announce that Norfolk Southern has begun equipping our chassis fleet with a Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS). TPMS is invisible to the driver and the technology allows us to locate equipment, capture tire inflation changes, and tire temperature trends.
The improved visibility enables us to proactively reach out to drivers when an issue is reported with a TPMS-equipped chassis. Once a defect is noted, and only when there is a concern, drivers will be contacted with a plan to address the defect. As always, please continue to follow all safety policies and procedures, reporting problems or concerns accordingly.
We encourage drivers to take advantage of our ExpressNSTM Mobile Application which streamlines gate and terminal processes for our drayage community. With ExpressNSTM, drivers can verify billing, submit pre-gate information, obtain parking and pickup locations, receive electronic interchange receipts, and submit bad order information.
Drivers can download the ExpressNSTM mobile application from the App Store or Google Play Store by searching for ExpressNS. Once the application is downloaded, first-time users must click the link to register for access using their assigned Norfolk Southern driver code.
